I want to comment on the outstanding service provided by your Product Support Specialist when I was in need of assistance with my Tektronix Phaser 740. I purchased the printer about two years ago, along with extended service. I do not use it extensively but needed a quality printer. No problems were encountered until a few months ago. Black splotches began appearing on the newsletters and paper jams were more frequent. I had originally called and received phone assistance while I was in the process of cleaning the rollers. I had checked the web site for cleaning tips, but that didn't seem to fix the problem. I felt that I really needed someone to check the printer and perhaps make some minor adjustments. Your Product Support Specialist was courteous, professional, and provided tips on maintenance and what type of paper to purchase. His knowledge of paper grades and quality amazed me. I am now more comfortable in knowing that I can do the routine maintenance myself. The black toner cartridge was defective and he had it replaced with a new cartridge. The color cartridges were all low at the time so I replaced all of them with Tektronix cartridges. Now I've decided to stick to a higher quality paper to prevent jams. I've since printed some photographs on Tektronix coated paper and am quite pleased with the results. Your Product Support Specialist was also quite helpful and a joy to talk to.
