Loading the ink sticks Your printer is shipped with a sampler containing one of each of the ColorStix ink sticks (black, cyan, magenta, and yellow). Load the ink sticks before you begin printing. For more details on color ink sticks, see Adding ink. Note: To avoid printing delays, maintain a stock of each color ink stick. For ordering information, see Printer supplies. Open the top cover. Note the color-coded label and the different shapes of the slots of the ink-loading bin. Each ink stick color has a unique shape. Drop the ink stick of the correct color and shape into each ink-loading bin, with the narrow (tapered) edge down. After loading all four ink sticks, close the top cover.
