The Emulation Sensing page allows
you to select the printer description language
sensing mode for each port. You use this
feature when there is a discrepancy or incompatibility
between the print driver and the printer
to force the specific port to the correct
language. For convenience and when possible,
leave the port on Auto Select.
Page
Description Languages - Set the Printer
Description Language for each port. Choosing
Auto Select allows the printer to
determine which language to interpret as
it is received over that port. Selecting
PCL or PostScript will cause
the printer to accept only that language
over the specified port.
Not selecting Auto Select
or PostScript will effectively
disable Internet Fax.
Note: EtherTalk settings
are read-only and cannot be modified from
this page.
Adjust the settings for page
description languages and click Save
Changes to store the information in
the printer.
