The
Search function is available when the printer is equipped
with an optional hard disk or a shared hard disk exists
in the local network. The Search function allows you
to search for keywords in two indexes:

- The printer's documentation
index is the index into
the printer's manuals in HTML format. This is a comprehensive
index on printer operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
This index also includes links to videos about using
the printer.
- The CentreWare-IS Help index
is the index for this CentreWare-IS Help system. This
index includes only information about using CentreWare-IS.

Place a checkmark next to each area
you want to search. You can search these indexes separately
or simultaneously (to search both indexes at the same
time, simply check both boxes).

The search results are index entries
that contain the specified keyword(s). Index entries
from the CentreWare-IS Help are indicated as such.

| Searching
indexes by keyword |
- Click the Search button
in the CentreWare-IS Help page.
- Enter the keyword(s)
that you want to search for.
- By default, search finds index
entries containing all the keywords in any order.
- To find index entries conatining
all the keywords in the order given, enclose the words
in quotes.
- Check the boxes to search the printer's
documentation index, the CentreWare-IS Help index,
or both.
- Click Search.
