NetWare Enabled
|
This field allows you to enable and disable the protocol.
|
Connection Mode
|
Select
Directory Services,
Bindery, or
Bindery and Directory Services.
|
Print Server Name
|
This field contains the current name for the print server. To change the name, click in the field and type a valid NetWare print server name. The new name takes effect the next time the print server or printer is reset.
The
Print Server Name
must be 63 characters or less. The combination of
Print Server Name
and
DS Context
must be 510 characters or less.

DS Context
|
This field contains the NetWare Directory Services Context that the printer looks into when connecting to file servers on the network.
The combination of
Print Server Name
and
DS Context
must be 510 characters or less.
This field is not displayed if
Connection Mode
is set to
Bindery.
|
DS Tree
|
This field contains the NetWare Directory Services Tree that the printer looks for when connecting to file servers on the network. The DS Tree must be entered into this field if the printer is in NDS mode.
The maximum length is 47 characters.
This field is not displayed if
Connection Mode
is set to
Bindery.
|
File Server
|
Use this field to specify a file server to search for the configuration file. The maximum length for the file server name is 47 characters.
This field is not displayed if
Connection Mode
is set to
Directory Services.
|
Login password
|
Use the field to specify a password to be used when logging in to the file server. The maximum length for the password is 47 characters.
|
Queue Scan Interval
|
Use this field to change the interval at which the printer polls for jobs. The value entered must be between 1 and 3600 seconds. The default is 15 seconds.
|
Enable Banners
|
This list box controls banner page printing. When you choose
True, banner pages are printed with each job. When you choose
False, banner pages are not printed. In bindery mode, banners can be enabled on a per-queue basis or for all queues. In NDS mode, banners are enabled for all queues.

Language
|
Select the language you want the printer to receive on the print server port. The selections are listed here (not all printers support all languages):

If you choose
AutoSelect, the printer automatically senses the language of the print job and processes it accordingly; this is called automatic language selection. Refer to your printer's user manual for more information about automatic language selection and which languages the printer supports.

Filtering
|
This field allows you to choose whether the printer filters out control characters. The choices are
InterpreterBased
or
None. In most cases, Filtering should be set to
None.
|
Delayed Output Close
|
When you choose
True
(
On
), the printer does not begin a new job on this port until the current job is completed. When you choose
False
(
Off
), the printer can begin processing a new job while it is still printing a previous job.

Status Message
|
This field displays updated NetWare printer status.
