Printer Error - Toner Cartridge

An error occurred in the specified toner cartridge (cyan, magenta, yellow, or black).

Reseat the toner cartridge for the color specified on the front panel. See the labels under the Top Cover for installation instructions.

  1. Remove the Top Cover.

  2. Rotate the knobs at the ends of the toner cartridge towards the back of the printer to unlock it and lift the toner cartridge slightly.

  3. Reseat the toner cartridge and rotate the knobs at the ends of the toner cartridge all the way to the forward (locked) position. You hear a clicking noise as the toner cartridge lock snaps into place.

  4. Replace the Top Cover.

  5. If the problem persists, install a new toner cartridge. See the installation instructions shipped with the new toner cartridge. To order toner cartridges, visit the Phaser® 6250 Supplies and Accessories web site.
