Enabling and disabling the Startup Page with a downloadable utility file Use one of the following methods to download a utility file to the printer to enable or disable the Startup Page: Macintosh utility file: Apple Printer Utility PC utility file: STARTPG.PS/NOSTRTPG.PS Macintosh utility file: Apple Printer Utility See Installing the Macintosh utility files to install the printer's software. Locate the Apple Printer Utility in the PhaserTools folder on your hard disk, and double-click its icon to start the application. In the Printer Selector dialog box, make the following selections: Under AppleTalk Zones, select your printer's zone location. Under Printers, select your Phaser 360 printer. Click Open Printer. A dialog box appears with the selected zone and printer name at the top. Click the arrow next to Printer Preferences. A list of options appears. Click the arrow next to Startup Page. Do one of the following steps: To print a startup page each time the printer is turned on or reset, click the checkbox on. To stop the startup page from automatically printing, click the checkbox off. Click the Send button at the top of the dialog box to change the printer's setting. PC utility file: STARTPG.PS/NOSTRTPG.PS Follow the instructions in Installing the PC utility files to install the printer's software. Locate the utility files in the PHSR360 subdirectory inside the PHSRTOOL directory created on your hard disk by the printer's installer. Select one of the following files: Use the STARTPG.PS file to enable printing of the printer's Startup Page. Use the NOSTRTPG.PS file to disable the printer's Startup Page. Use one of the following methods to send the desired file to the printer: PC users: Use the DOS COPY command to send the file to the printer. See Downloading files from a PC if you need instructions. Workstation users: Send a file to the printer as you would any PostScript file.
