What Is Information Forwarding?

PhaserSMART™ and other web-based services include automated troubleshooting that can quickly provide the answers you need to keep your printer runnning at its best. These tools rely on printer-specific information, such as Printer Model, Firmware Version, Printer ID Number, Serial Number, Page Count, and Status to provide dynamic Web content. Authorizing the sending of this information allows the printer to send periodic Usage Profile reports which are used to improve products and service.

Please note that the information provided to Xerox does not contain any personal information about you, your company, or individuals using the printer. Xerox is committed to treating your information confidentially. To view a sample of the information that is sent, click View > Source on your browser toolbar.

Updating Information Forwarding

To enable information formwarding, click On from the pull-down menu and then click Save Changes. To disable Information Forwarding, click Off from the pull-down menu and then click Save Changes.
