This page displays a list of all printers
on the network that support the standard
printer MIB (RFC 1759). The
printers listed are on the same IP subnet as the printer
you are connected to. To locate printers on another subnet, choose Enter New Subnet and enter the subnet address.
Printers with an embedded web
server are shown as a link. Click any link
to view that printer's home page.
Note: For the first time each session, More Printers may take
some time to discover all the printers. For subsequent requests,
the printer data is retrieved from cache. To get an updated
list of printers, Refresh/Reload the More Printers page.
Subnets
The Subnets field lists options
for discovering more printers, and lists
the three most recently used subnets.
Use the Local Network Setting
to search your local network for more printers.
To search a different subnet, select Enter
New Subnet from the list.
Local Network -Searches
for more printers on the local subnet only.
Enter
New Subnet - Opens the Select
a Subnet for Printer Discovery page,
allowing you to enter a new subnet to search
for more printers.
Click on a column heading
to sort the entire list according to the
selected column heading.
IP
Address - The printer's IP address
if the DNS name does not exist. If the DNS
name does exist, it displays. The information
is displayed as a link if the printer has
a HTTP server. If the named printer supports
CentreWare, the printer name or IP address
is a link to that printer's CentreWare or
CentreWare Status page.
AppleTalk Name - The printer's AppleTalk name. The information is displayed as a link if the
printer has a HTTP server. If the named printer supports
CentreWare or CentreWare, the printer name is a link
to that printer's CentreWare or CentreWare Status
page.
Model
- Printer model number, for example, Phaser 4400.
Status
- Current printer status, one of the following:
- Ready
- Busy
- Idle
- Waiting
- Error Exists
- Warning Exists
- Unavailable
- Unknown
If an error exists and the
named printer supports CentreWare, the status
is a link to the corresponding Printing
Scout Help page.
AppleTalk
Name - The printer's AppleTalk name.
The information is displayed as a link if
the printer has a HTTP server. If the named
printer supports CentreWare, the printer
name is a link to that printer's CentreWare
or CentreWare Status page.
Contact
- The printer contact information can
be set from within CentreWare on the SNMP
page.
Location
- The printer location information can
be set from within CentreWare on the SNMP
page.
