What is MaiLinX Alerts?

MaiLinX Alerts allows the printer to automatically send email to the system administrator and specified users under the following conditions:

  • When printer errors, warnings, and alerts occur.
  • When the printer requires attention (for example, when service is required).
  • When a reply to a MaiLinX Remote Printing message is desired.
This MaiLinX Alerts capability is supplied by an SMTP client embedded in the printer's firmware.

Three designated users can receive messages: Admin, Service, and Key User. Errors, alerts, warnings, and usage profile reports can be individually assigned to any of these users.

Setting up MaiLinX Alerts

To use MaiLinX Alerts, select On and enter email addresses for up to three users who will receive notification messages. You may also need to set up your email server using the Email Server Settings page.

Note: Setting MaiLinX Alerts to On also enables Usage Profile.

Printer Unable to Print and Printer Warnings

These settings allow you to control the printer conditions that generate MaiLinX Alerts messages. You can set up notification for each condition individually.
