Are MaiLinX Alerts?
MaiLinX Alerts allow the printer
to automatically send email to the system
administrator and/or specified users when
the following conditions occur:
- Printer Unable to Print - The
printer requires attention or when service
is needed.
- Printer Warnings - Printer
errors, warnings, and alerts.
- A reply to a MaiLinX
Remote Printing message is desired.
This
MaiLinX Alerts capability is supplied by an
SMTP client embedded in the printer's firmware.
Setting
Up MaiLinX Alerts
To
enable MaiLinX Alerts, click ON in
the drop-down box for the MaiLinX (and
Usage Profile Properties) field. You
can designate up to three users to receive
messages: Admin, Key User, and Service.
You individually assign each type of message
sent to each user by selecting Default
or Custom from the drop-down
box associated with that message type. Select
None if you don't want messages sent.
