Clone Printer Help

You can clone selected settings from this Source Printer to a Destination Printer on the same network using the Clone Printer page.

To clone settings from one printer to another:

Select the parameters to be cloned from the Source Printer. You can choose any combination of the following settings:

  • NetWare
  • Usage Profile Setup
  • FTP
  • EtherTalk / TokenTalk
  • Information Forwarding
  • E-Supplies
  • Parallel Port
  • Remote Printing
  • Warm Up
  • Port 910
  • SNMP
  • TCP/IP
  • Email Server Settings
  • Mail Alerts
  • USB
  • PostScript Error Info
  • Printer Defaults
  • LPR
  • IPP
  • Date and Tim

Enter IP Address or DNS Name of the Destination Printer. If you enter a DNS name, DNS must be configured on the TCP/IP page.

Confirm Cloning Settings

When you click Save Changes, the Confirm Clone Settings page will open to confirm that you want to proceed with cloning the settings from the Source Printer to the Destination printer. The Destination Printer's IP address is a link to that printer's CentreWare home page.

Click "Clone" to continue or click cancel to stop the clone operation and return to the Clone Printer page.

Optional Settings

Assign a Printer Name (SNMP System Name) to the Destination Printer.

Modify the EtherTalk / TokenTalk Zone and/or IP Domain Name settings if the Destination Printer will be located in a different Domain / Zone.

Note: EtherTalk / TokenTalk Zone and/or IP Domain Name settings will be cloned only if the EtherTalk / TokenTalk and/or TCP/IP settings are selected to be cloned above.
