Status Help

This page displays current information about important printer conditions, which is updated according to the value specified in the Refresh Behavior setting at the bottom of the page. Optional features that are installed in the printer are indicated with a checkmark next to the feature name.

Status Message (left side of Status page) 

The status message box appearing on the left of the Status page (below the image of your Xerox printer) gives a quick indication of the printer's status.

Printer status messages are updated according to the value specified in the Refresh Behavior field. Click the Refresh Status button on the left side of the page to refresh the printer status immediately.

  • During normal operation, the status box is green.
  • When a warning condition occurs, the warning message is displayed in the box against a yellow background. Click on the warning message to obtain more information about the warning condition.
  • When an error condition occurs, the error message is displayed in the box against a red background. Click on the error message to obtain more information about the error condition.
Message
Description
Ready/Standby/Busy
(green background)
The printer is printing or ready to accept data.
Warning
(yellow background)
There is a non-critical problem at the printer, such as ink-low or paper-low. The printer can still print.
Error
(red background)
The printer cannot print. There is an error condition such as ink out or paper jam.

Name
The assigned printer name. This can be set on the
SNMP page.

DNS
The assigned DNS name. This can be set on the TCP/IP Settings page.

IP
The assigned IP address. This can be set on the TCP/IP Settings page.

Contact
The Printer Contact information as entered on the SNMP page.

Location
The Printer Location as entered on the SNMP page.

Status
Displays the current printer status message, updated at regular intervals, as specified in the Refresh Behavior settings on the right-hand side of the page.

Refresh Status
Clicking the Refresh Status button will refresh the printer status immediately.

Order Supplies (upper right side of Status page)

The printer provides an easy mechanism to order replacement supplies. Click on the link to order supplies for your Xerox color printer.

Status Table (right side of Status page)

Paper Trays
Paper size and type are reported for each installed tray. If a tray is empty or is not inserted, it is reported here.

The paper tray is full.
The paper tray is empty.
The paper tray is missing.

Output Tray
If the output tray is full, it is reported here.

The output tray is empty.
The output tray is full.

Page Count
This is the total number of pages printed since the first print.

Supplies Remaining

  • Ink Status
    Ink status is reported as OK, Low or Out.
  • Maintenance Kit Remaining Life
    This displays the remaining number of pages that can be printed before the maintenance kit must be replaced. The count is listed as a percentage of remaining life if the remaining page count is greater than 1000. If the remaining page count is less than 1000, an actual page count is reported.

Refresh Behavior

The value in this field controls how often the information on the Status page is updated. You can change the value by selecting a delay interval (in seconds) and clicking the "Change Refresh Behavior" button.

Click the Refresh Status button on the left side of the page to refresh the printer status immediately.
