Emulation Sensing Help

The Emulation Sensing Page allows the user to select the printer description language sensing mode for each port. This feature is used when there is a discrepancy or incompatibility between the print driver and the printer, the user would then force the specific port to the correct language. For convenience and when possible, it is best to leave the port on Auto Select.

Page Description Languages
Set the Printer Description Language for each port. Choosing "Auto Select" allows the printer to determine which language to interpret as it is received over that port. Selecting "PCL" or "PostScript" will cause the printer to accept only that language over the specified port.

Not selecting "Auto Select" or "PostScript" will effectively disable Internet Fax.

Note: EtherTalk / TokenTalk settings are read-only and cannot be modified from this page.

Adjust the settings for page description languages and click on Save Changes to store the information in the printer.
