Purpose of the Preferences Tab Page

The Preferences tab contains additional pages that Administrators can use to configure printer search settings such as such as search scope and search schedule, as well as view preferences for the various configurable tabs. The default page that loads when you click the Preferences tab is the Printer Search Scope page.

What can I do on this Tab?

The Preferences tab links to the following pages:

  • Search Scope - Search Scope is the default page that displays when you click the Preferences tab from anywhere within Printer Neighborhood. You can modify printer search scope options from this page. For more information, see the Search Scope Help page.
  • Search Schedule - You can set or change settings that instruct the printer when to perform printer searches. For more information, see the Search Schedule Help page.
  • Display Columns - This page allows you to modify the column display fields for the configurable tabs in Printer Neighborhood. For more information on configuring the display settings, see the Configure Display Columns Help page.
  • Display Settings - This page allows you to set the number of printers that display per page. See the Configure Display Settings Help page for more information.

Note: Access to the pages contained on the Preferences tab is controlled by the Administrator. You may require a user name and password to access these functions. Refer to the Administrator Security Settings page in CentreWare IS.
