Emulation Sensing Help

The Emulation Sensing page allows you to select the printer description language sensing mode for each port. You use this feature when there is a discrepancy or incompatibility between the print driver and the printer. It allows you to force the specific port to the correct language. For convenience and when possible, leave the port on Auto Select.

Page Description Languages - Set the Page Description Language (PDL) for each port. Choose Auto Select to allow the printer to determine which language to interpret as it is received over that port. Select PCL or PostScript if you want the printer to accept only that language over the specified port.

You must select Auto Select or PostScript to enable Internet Fax.

Note: EtherTalk settings are read-only and cannot be modified from this page.

When you are satisfied with your selections, click Save Changes to store the information in the printer, or click Discard Changes to keep the previous settings..
